Wait for the One

Wait for the one who will be your best friend,

who drops everything to be with you even when he is in the middle of something

wait for the one who makes you smile like no other, and when they smile you know they need

you,

wait for the one who wants to show you off when you are in sweats and have no makeup on, but

appreciates it when you get all dolled up for him,

Wait for the one that when making conversation takes your breath away

wait for the one cares about your opinion and views on things

wait for the one who has that daredevil smile that gives both of you a sense of adventure

wait for the one who loves you for being you and doesn't need a mask to hide behind for you.

wait for the one you will make you the center of his universe because he's of course the center of

yours.

* I did not come up with this I just liked how it sounded

The Road Last Taken

Standing at the crossroads, a fork between a road, two different paths two different endings.

Together they stand hand in hand at the crossroads.

A typical boy handsome and funny, a typical girl tall and intelligent just sixteen. Grasping fingers

at the crossroads.

Love is strong ,love is hard. But standing at each crossroad lays something different.

To the right a new hair raising adventure, to the left a forgotten dream.

Together at the crossroads.

He acts strong, but feels the past slipping farther away and she feels the same.

Drifting towards a heart felt dream. She's a strong person, his motivation is well used. Her dream

will take her far.

He's a confident young man, her presence taught him well, he will survive on this brand new

adventure.

There is no goodbye at the crossroad, at the fork. They knew this day was near. Their hands

retract at the first steps.

Passing at the crossroads. No one is there to witness this everyday change of heart for the

better.

The act is silent, the act is change.

Will the journey be happy? That's all up to them.

Before the final destination they turn back the last time and smile. The forgotten road and the

forgotten past reminds them of their shared happiness.

She cries as she follows her heart.

He laughs at the face of fear when the challenge arrives.

The crossroads know they have made the right choice.

But what of the forgotten road?

Falling

He holds your hand in a woolen mitten, his breath turns to frosty clouds.

The red of his lips and the ice blue of his eyes.

Frosty crystals drift from the sky, they settle on each eye lash.

He uncovers his hand to brush the droplets away, you're gently turning in circles.

His eyes never leave yours, just keeps staring as if into your soul.

Suddenly he begins to fall away, the ice beneath his feet is suddenly slippery.

You look down to find him in a pile on the ice. Snow freckles his spiky head of hair.

A giggle echos from your mouth, you turn and skate away spinning, spinning, spinning, around

and around. Strong arms encircle you yet you keep spinning, twirling. The snow spins with you

along with the trees.

Closing your eyes you fall into those strong arms, knowing its alright to fall this time.
